Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They carry out all Chronic Disease Management reviews. Hypertension Reviews. Childhood vaccinations. Cervical Cytology Screening (Smears). Family Planning and HRT reviews. Travel Health and Travel Vaccinations. Specific vaccinations for specialist treatments. Our lead nurse, Lindsay, has completed an additional qualification in prescribing to allow her to prescribe medication within her clinics.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses. They carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure monitoring, ECG’s, some annual reviews, home visits for the housebound, specific drug monitoring audits and NHS health checks.
